This term was enjoyable and stressful at the same time. At week 7, we did our speech presentation, at week 8 we did a practice job interview with a lot of student teachers, and at week 10, we did the real job interview assessment.
At the speech presentation day, I was very nervous and wasn’t prepared, and so at the end, I had to do it in week 8 during lunch. But thankfully, during the speech presentation, I wasn’t that nervous because my friends were my audience and therefore, I thought that I did great during the presentation. I didn’t stutter much, I spoke clearly, and made eye contact. The only thing that bothers me is that I didn’t quite remember the end of my speech, so at the end, I kept looking at my script.
In week 8, we did a practice interview with the student teachers, who taught us what to do during the interview, such as the STAR method (situation, task, action, result). My friend Jam and I ended up being friends with two of the student teachers; they were really kind, along with the other student teachers. During the practice interview, I was nervous but not that much.
This week, week 10, we did our real formal interview with a different teacher, where we videoed ourselves in the conversation. This time again, I was very nervous; my hands were sweating so much, but thankfully, the interviewer was really sweet, and I liked her very much. Anyways, as I reviewed the video, I felt that I didn’t do my best, I kept moving around, my voice was very low, and on top of that, I couldn’t think straight. So I ought to really improve myself since I am also starting to apply for jobs now, and I wouldn’t want the same mistakes I made here to be applied to a real job interview.
THAT’S ALL!!! (^v^)
